Kimberly Mara is an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for travel which has taken her to some exotic shooting locations around the globe including China, Thailand, Sweden, Turkey, Greece and Ireland to name a few. She’s done several destination weddings in Riviera Maya, Mexico which has become a favorite spot, due to it’s beautiful green water, white sandy beaches and pastel colored skies. Kim offers discounts for destination weddings due to her love of travel and the opportunities created.

Her private detached studio is located in picturesque Deep Cove, North Vancouver. It is 700 square feet and has all the amenities you could want including a washroom, changing table, microwave, fridge stocked with beverages & a nice variety of props. The studio backs onto a greenbelt (Myrtle Park) which is perfect for spring and summer outdoor sessions. There is ample free parking available and easy access to the studio. Your pets are always welcome at Eclipse. The studio has a fenced in yard for your peace of mind, if they need to go outside.

Although, Kimberly shoots many different types of photography, she specializes in studio portraits that are intimate in nature; maternity, newborn and boudoir.

Kimberly is currently working on publishing a book of her black & white maternity images. She is looking forward to its completion in the near future.

Kimberly has a beautiful 18 year old daughter, Maddi, who has been her absolute favourite model since the day she was born.

Kimberly has loved photography since she was in elementary school, growing up in Courtenay, BC. She shot her first wedding just out of high school. She has studied at Emily Carr, Ampro Fine Arts School, Image Explorations School, and at numerous workshops with the Professional Photographers of Canada, whose members are some of the most talented photographers in North America. Her first year of business she earned Vancouver’s ‘Entrepreneur Of The Year’ award.

Kimberly is dedicated to her community and has enjoyed giving back since her business began. Make a Wish Foundation, Seycove Auctions and Canuck House are a few of the local organizations she has supported with her time and talent over the years.

Kimberly has received numerous awards and recognition for her work. She has been profiled by both provincial and national news stations as well. She was especially honored to have been selected as the BC photographer for the Breast Cancer of Canada Calendar, which was featured on CTV. This amazing experience was quite poignant for Kimberly as she lost her own mother to cancer when she was a very young child.
